Portable stout faucet adapter

Portable stout faucet adapter

Here's a small adapter that lets you adapt an Intertap stout nozzle (for example, https://www.morebeer.com/products/intertap-stout-spout.html) To a common polypropylene picnic faucet (https://www.morebeer.com/products/hand-held-beer-faucet.html) to make a cheap and portable stout faucet. I made this for serving up nitro cold brew coffee, but it might come in handy for beer. Print the adapter using PETG with a 0.05mm layer height without supports. There's a fairly big overhang angle on the threads, and the thread pitch is only ~1.4mm, so the thinner layer height is needed for sufficiently good threads. I used black MG Chemicals PETG. Technically it's not food grade but I'm not too worried - if the SDS says I can pretty much eat the plastic straight up without worrying about toxicity, I have my doubts anything is going to leach out of it and harm me. To glue the adapter to the spout, first remove the valve from the spout. Rough up the surface of the spout first with fine grit sandpaper for better adhesion. Apply ECA glue (Krazy Glue, Loctite 401, whatever) to the spout and push the adapter onto it, twisting it as you slide it on. Allow it to set for half an hour or so, soak everything in water for another half hour to neutralize any remaining glue, and wash/clean well. Reassemble the spout, attach it to a hose, screw on the stout nozzle and you should be good to go. OpenSCAD design file is attached. You'll need to grab a copy of OpenSCAD threads from here - http://dkprojects.net/openscad-threads - copy the "threads.scad" file into the same directory as the source file.
