I'm utilizing a 2.5W, 4ohm speaker from an old PC monitor and a digital power class D audio amplifier board with volume control based on the Pam8403 chip, which powers up to 2 channels of 3 watts through a micro USB connector. Two rectangular speakers from an old PC monitor are housed in a custom-built box featuring an audio amplifier, cleverly enclosed within. The box is expertly designed in two separate pieces. To bring this project together, I employed 2.5mm screws with brass knurled insert nuts salvaged from an old Notebook PC. These recyclable parts proved to be the perfect fit for my assembly needs. On one side of the box, you'll find two strategically placed 3mm holes that serve as attachment points for two pins, allowing me to securely mount the speaker box onto the back of a PC monitor using wall mount brackets.
