Portable Solar Generator
thingiverse
This is a DIY portable solar generator in a protective case. It integrates a 10W, 12V solar panel, solar charge controller, and two 10Ahr LiFePO4 batteries. It has panels for Anderson power poles, battery monitors, watt-meters, and 12V car sockets. The batteries can be charged from the onboard 10W panel, an external solar panel, or a switched power supply. I use it primarily for Ham Radio field use but it can also be used as a general power source and drive an inverter if needed. I assembled this portable solar generator using the following parts: Case - Harbor Freight Tools Weatherproof Protective Case 12V 10W Solar Panel Volt Meter Combo Watt Meters or RC Watt Meter Switch 12V Cigarette Socket Solar Charge Controller 10AH 12V LiFePO4 Battery Pack (2x) Various bits of wire, connectors, and Anderson Power Poles
