Portable Microphone wire holder
thingiverse
This is a simple yet very useful project I created to protect and organize my microphone cable, keeping it in good shape and preventing breakage or self-tied knots that are impossible to untangle. It can also be used for headphones. INSTRUCTIONS: Two STL files will be provided: one without support material but requiring glue to assemble the two parts together, and another with all pieces in one piece, which requires support material. - 2 PARTS FILE Once printed, sand the meeting faces of the two parts well. Then insert a small gap between them using a 3 mm drill bit, apply CA glue on the meeting faces, clamp for 2 minutes, and finally use a 3.5 mm drill bit to enlarge the hole, eliminating any misalignment. The microphone jack should fit snugly in it. To finish, sand with fine-grit paper. - 1 PART FILE Simply print the file, remove support material, and use a 3.5 mm drill bit and drill to enlarge the hole for the microphone jack. Finally, refine the area around the drilled hole with fine-grit sandpaper to smooth out any rough edges or torn fibers.
