portable mast support plus balun holder
thingiverse
I created a portable fishing pole mast support to keep the first element standing on its own without needing to tie it to something or carry a tripod with me. To set it up, simply place the big ring on top of the thickest pole element and secure three lines to it. Next, fix these lines to the ground using pegs for example. Once you've done this, you can easily bring up the pole and handle it without needing someone to help you out with additional hands. The smaller ring is a rotating support that works by having the inner ring stick to the pole via friction while allowing the outer ring with attached lines to rotate freely. This helps when bringing up the pole and turning it to prevent guy lines from getting tangled around the pole. The rotary ring prints as one piece and spins very smoothly. I also created a balun mounting thingy that makes it easy to fix a small balun or other object on top of the pole. However, I need to create a rotating version to avoid having the antenna wire get wound around the pole when turning the pole while bringing it up. That way, it would perfectly match the rotary support. My explanation shouldn't be too confusing! By the way, I added rotary balun mounts in different sizes. Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% is enough, but if you want extra strength, go for 100% Notes: I made this thing from PETG.
