Portable, light tripod for 360 or Action cameras
thingiverse
I tweaked an awesome design by cyril50 just a notch. I bumped up the hole size by 5% so it can snugly fit 1/4 dowels that are easy to find everywhere, and smoothed out the profile to minimize camera footprint clutter. I opt for wood dowels since they seamlessly blend in with their surroundings, and I can quickly cut various lengths based on where I position my camera. Twig alternatives work too. To beef up stability, I modified the base to securely accept a 1/4" x 20 x 3/4" brass machine bolt that costs under $1 at Lowes. It's held firmly in place and requires a screwdriver to set it properly.
