Portable Flashlight/Camping lantern
thingiverse
When I'm roughing it or simply spending time outdoors, I often need to light up an entire room or tent. A standard headlight just won't cut it in this situation, as its beam is too narrow. So, using parts I had on hand, I constructed this outdoor torch/lantern that shines a wide 180-degree arc, allowing people to read comfortably inside a tent and can be easily hung from the ceiling or placed on a table. This camping light runs on an 18650 battery, features two power settings, and is equipped with a 3W LED. The model itself is very easy to print, and any printer should be able to handle it without issue. I used PLA, even though ABS would have been a better choice for this project. The diffuser was made from transparent PLA, and it works incredibly well once printed. To assemble everything, use M2 screws and epoxy glue. The electronics are fully explained in the link provided [here](http://embedblog.eu/?p=224). Happy printing and camping!
