Portable DVR with Belt Clip for HMDVR

Bought an HMDVR, but trying to use it was a huge hassle. I had wires everywhere! So I came up with a solution. It's like a Walkman - you hang it on your belt, and there's a spot for the battery so it won't be dangling loose, plus an XT-60 plug right at the top to connect. There are two switches on the front to control power and signal. I used a SPST switch so I can turn it on and off without having to unplug the battery every time I'm done recording. And I used a SPDT switch so I can use both video in and out with just one flip of the switch. Before, I had to swap cables all the time! But now, if I want to view my recordings, I just flip the switch down and then flip the little switch on the bottom left side of my goggles that turns off the video receiver. Then I can see the HMDVR video feed. Go into settings, view videos, delete videos - it's all so easy! The HMDVR fits loosely in the slot, so I put a piece of Velcro (the soft half, not the hook side) behind it, and now it fits like a glove. But I can still get it out if I need to. I printed all three parts in ABS, drilled holes for the switches and one for the video cable that goes to my goggles. Wired it up - inside the cavity is a 5-volt UBEC that steps down the Lipo battery to the 5 volts the HMDVR needs. Then I used Acetone to "glue" or "fuse" the parts together. This thing is really sweet! It makes using the HMDVR a joy now. Before it was too much of a pain and I would skip it because I didn't want to deal with it. Very proud of this project!
