Portable Dice Tower

Portable Dice Tower

This is my unique design for a D&D Portable Dice Tray (PDT). I initially printed off Takly's concept because I loved the idea. However, I felt it didn't quite come together as I envisioned, so I took precise measurements and embarked on creating my own version. I simplified the design to two main components: the base and the door. To date, I've printed several two-tone towers for various characters. The print settings are optimized, requiring no supports or rafts. On my Ender 3 with a .2mm layer height and 10% infill, the base took 5 hours and 41 minutes to print, while the door required only 2 hours and 3 minutes. This PDT is surprisingly efficient in terms of plastic usage. As I use it in upcoming sessions, I'll be on the lookout for any issues that arise. My primary concern is ensuring the door remains secure; if it starts to loosen up, I'll explore ways to address this. Currently, my only notable flaw is that if you shake the PDT too vigorously, the dice can cause the door to swing open. Fortunately, the door is designed to be easily attached and removed, allowing for effortless color swaps as needed. If you have any suggestions for improvement, please don't hesitate to share your thoughts. I've already considered incorporating a magnet latch into the door design. Thanks, and may your dice rolls always result in a perfect 20!
