#tmc2020 competition entry. Video here... https://youtu.be/lTU1KKuW1Ds Fully parametric design allows for quick changes to bearings, rods, size, belts, and more. @Emmas Spareroom Machineshop is hosting the #TMC2020 once again this year. We've entered every year, starting with our Gear Cutting on the Shaper video, which remains one of my channel's most popular videos. This year, I'm tackling the Blue LED Laser using leftover Reprap printer parts. Initially, I thought an existing option would work, but each item was unique, prompting me to re-engineer from scratch. I'm utilizing my trusted OpenSCAD software, as it fits perfectly within my programmatic 3D modeling expertise. By breaking down critical dimensions into parameters, the design can be easily recompiled for any parts you have on hand. LM8UU bearings? 8mm rods? Different pulleys or belts? Bearings? Simply tweak and print! I've also constrained part sizes to ensure they can be printed on my SL1 Prusa 3D printer, with a focus on strength and support-free printing. I hope you find this project interesting. If there's demand for more information on any component, please let me know – I kept the video concise to fit within the entry rules. Thanks to Emma, all #TMC2020 entrants, and my valued subscribers who make it possible for me to continue creating content here. GRBL RAMPS TTL Originally inspired by https://www.instructables.com/id/CoreXY-Laser-Engraver/ However, I soon determined that design was not suitable for my needs due to differences in rods, bearings, pulleys, laser, and more. So, I started from scratch using OpenSCAD. GRBL firmware is used as per pointers on this thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2805217
