1. Explain in 3-5 sentences the intended purpose of your design and how the 3D design can help your classmates with virtual learning. My design is a portable laptop holder/desk space. The design has a pillow on the bottom half for comfort and a desk/laptop space plus cup holder on the top. I feel that this design could help students because it would allow them to go wherever they want and do their work in a comfortable manner. 2. What issues did you come up against? Figuring out how big the pillow/desk portion should be without it being too bulky and hard to transport. While doing my drafts of the drawing, I also came into the problem that TinkerCad would not allow me to use the website as I really wanted to. For example, in my design, the red square, representing the desktop, is supposed to be set on top of the blue semi-circle, representing the pillow. However the website would not allow me to do this. 3. If you could redesign this again what would you change? Make the desk thinner and change the cupholder height so the majority of it is hidden in the pillow portion of the design. 4. How would 3D printing help strengthen your design? By giving a visual representation of the design and any flaws that I might have accidentally left in.
