Portable AC Window Slide Box

Replacement window kit for portable AC window vents. Specifically, I designed this to replace portions of the plastic window kit that came with the Whynter ARC-122DHP. The original included pieces did not fit most of my standard windows and did not want to stay in.Though designed with the Whynter unit in mind, it may work with other brands as well. This is a series of sliding/interlocking rectangular boxes (or wings) that allows you to make an exact fit for your window. Additionally you can insert a insulation foam in the hollow cavity to reduce outside noise and help keep hot or cold air out of your room. This design does not replace the actual portion you connect the vent hoses to, rather you insert that section into a set of "wings". <hr/> ***Part definitions:*** * **Wings**: rectangular boxes that go on the left and right side of the air vent connectors. No tools required, these will slide together. Each of these is about 158.73mm (6.25in)in height, and provided in multiple widths. * **Rails**: rectangular half-boxes used to go on the top and bottom of the plastic adapter your vent hoses attach to. This allows you to build an even top and bottom. * **End Caps** : These fit on the size of the rectangular boxes to make an enclosed box. * **Drain Port** : means that a whole is in a Wing that allows you to pass your drain hose through. Not if, you have a window screen, you may not want to use this, unless you cut hole in your screen. <hr/> ***Print Recommendations:*** * I highly recommend you print some of the smaller pieces first to ensure you have the right infill and that they parts connect well together. The slot-groove system should fit fairly smoothly, but in some cases may be a tighter fit and need a hammer to knock into place. * I recommend you use the same material for all of the prints. You may even want to use the same brand, as the slot-groove system to connect may be impacted by characteristics of the brand and material. For instance one part printed in PLA may not fit as smoothly with another printed in PETG. * I recommend using PETG for this as this material is typically stronger and more resistant to UV than PLA. * I had really great luck with Overture PETG, most of the photos show were made with the _Rock_ color, this is sort of a white marble/stone look. Most pieces came out looking like something you would purchase. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BC52P3Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 <hr/> ***Use Recommendations:*** * Add Air Conditioning Weather-Strip to the top to help prevent gaps between the window frame and the top of the enclosure. https://www.frostking.com/products/air-conditioner-accessories/Foam%20Air%20Conditioner%20Weatherseal%20Kit%201 * Foam Board Insulation such as this 1in by 2ft board, https://www.homedepot.com/p/Project-Panels-FOAMULAR-1-in-x-2-ft-x-2-ft-R-5-Small-Projects-Rigid-Pink-Foam-Board-Insulation-Sheathing-PP1/203553730
