Portable AC Vent Adapter
thingiverse
This is a set of portable air conditioner adapters for the vent hose. I started with some timber of 140mm x 12mm cut to the length required to neatly fit into the window. Using the router template, I used a router bit with a bearing to route a hole in the timber for the exhaust. The router template has an arrow indicating the up direction. I then screwed the adapter on using 6G x 15mm sheet metal screws. The holes from the router template should match the adapter, if not then the adapter is upside down. I recommend giving the timber a few coats of external rated paint to protect it against the weather. I also printed and "end cap" as I didn't want the timber sitting in water, so the cap keeps it slightly elevated. If you use the cap, it adds 6mm to the length so take that into account. Finally there is a "side spacer" to prevent the timber sliding too far into the window frame on the side. This is optional and you could use something else if needed. The adapter called "Kogan" has 4 locking tabs and the vent is pushed down and it clicks into place. The adapter called "Altise" simply clips on when it is pushed in.
