I've been working on a design for a while now that's still under construction. The build volume is 20x20Y20Z cm, but I'm in the process of redesigning it to use plasma cut steel, which will allow me to make it smaller and implement corexy. The sides are meant to fold back into the rear, then the top folds back into the rear as well, and finally everything collapses down to the bottom. To prevent it from becoming too heavy, I've designed the motors and electronics to be located in the bottom section. I'll be using fishing line routed to the top, similar to Sublime's design. The bed will be removable and secured on top of the assembly when collapsed. The hot end can be quickly removed by loosening a jam nut on the Bowden Coupling, and there's also a slot for removal without disconnecting the tube. All components are designed to be machined using a 5mm end mill, and I'm using 56oz-in 14HS20 motors. My design has been influenced by the FoldaRap, Tantillus, and Ditto.
