Pallet handling robots with portal arms A key feature of palletising robots is that each item is picked up using a gripper. By following specific coordinates, the robot knows exactly how to manoeuvre the gripper to pick an item from a conveyor belt and place it in the correct position on a pallet. An additional rotary table to rotate products a quarter turn is unnecessary. While moving the items with the gripper, they can be rotated at any desired angle and even tilted if needed.
