Porta-Pod E (E - electronic version) From my LARPerator Kit I have 2 real AR-15's, one with a holographic red-dot and one with a 5-25x50 scope on it. The scoped AR is Gucci and still a bit heavy because of the massive scope on it. Thus, the need for a quick detach bipod. I'm more of a practical guy, so having a permanent/semi-permanent bipod makes absolutely no sense to me on any weapon, they should all be quick detach/attach because they aren't needed 100% of the time. I prefer handstops/AFG's, and because "realestate" is so important on the handguard of rifles, a bipod makes even less sense. The current solutions on the market aren't good enough for me, so I created my own. I have several variations, slide into place, locking mechanism, magnetic, and this screw mount. This is the cheapest and easiest version, so here you go LARPers, this is the only decent bipod on this site. I'm also finishing up a geared tripod base with longer legs, and feet. Haven't decided if I'll upload though, if people ask for them, maybe. With this design concept you should be able to deduce my other variants if you wanted to. Just remember you saw it HERE first, invented by ME, so give credit. It screws into the AFG, rotates up and down, rotates left and right, the legs are geard so pulling one opens the other. No tilt, unless the legs are all the way forward, but then no up/down/side rotation. Parts are printed in halves, epoxied together, then locking "rings/clamps" glued in place to strengthen the seam to prevent splitting (**BEFORE combining the 2 swivel halves around the tilt, place the top locking ring in its position, then slide the other half into place..you'll see what I mean**). It uses my studs/pins to lock into place. Bamboo scewers are used to keep the legs in place, print 3mm rods if you dont have scewers. Everything except for the AFG surfaces mounting to the picatinny have ~.4mm of tolerance, which may have been a bit too much, but everything moves freely and others may need the extra tolerance. As always, the AFG will be snug, CAREFULLY AND EVENLY slide/pound into place. Use adequate infill, the black AFG pictured had 10% and fractured/exploded while pounding into position. DISCLAIMER FOR ALL THE JSOC GUYS HERE This is not designed for you to use during your next SEAL team 6 deployment. I know you are the baddest person on the planet (that's why you're here and not doing live fire training), but it will not survive the rigors you will face. This is meant for people like me, who enjoy going to the range to STAND and dump 30 round mags in 30 seconds or less, at a full size steel torso set out at 320 yards, you know, combat accuracy. If you are trying to put one round ontop of another, taking 30 seconds to shoot off, get a real bipod, this isn't good enough for that. That's why the angled foregrip, I can have one on each rifle and use the bipod only when I want to, or if my siblings are shooting with me, because they prefer to shoot from a platform. I'm a lefty, that's why the screw is on the left, to clear my right hand. If you're a dirty righty, mirror the AFG and screw halves, that should do the trick. Don't mind the terrible print quality. I had to play with the flowrate to fix the stringing while this Hatchbox PLA was printing, not normally an issue. Black is Prusament printed using .3mm nozzle White is Hatchbox printed using .4mm nozzle
