WHAT IS IT? Porta-Leash is THE MOST portable retractable dog leash I have ever seen. It is small enough to clip onto your dogs collar! Sometimes I forget his big leash and a short walk turns into a long one and we end up needing a leash to comply with the law or not piss people off. Porta-Leash is really nice because we can leave it on his collar all the time and always have the option to manage him! Its compactness & clip also lend it well to holding it on your belt, or storing it in the car glovebox or in a purse. -Uses a 40" coated steel cable and nickel plated steel encased retractable cord reel. -Suitable for dogs up to 25 lbs. (Though it can work with larger dogs if they are not prone to lunges or tugs at full strength.) *Materials -PLA or ABS, no supports required. -Retractable cord reel: https://amzn.to/2VX62HB **Modification/ Assembly. >>>>IMPORTANT<<<<<< -You MUST take apart the cord reel and tie a knot in the cable on the end that secures it in the spool, and another knot on the end with the keyring. The stock crimps are not very strong and will get pulled out otherwise! Once you do this the reel becomes very strong! WARNING: Disassemble the cord reel carefully and not let the spring unwind or its ruined! -I use a dot of superglue on the screw to keep it from backing out and another dot of glue to secure the clip in place>>Notice that I reassemble with the clip positioned at 90 degrees to its normal position. This is better for clipping onto a collar or onto your belt. (See images) -Final Assembly is straight forward in that you literally just press the reel into the housing and super glue in place.
