This Lamp is inspired and designed based on the Genoa Port Crane located in Italy. The full-scale lamp is made with a combination of 3d printed parts and pieces of PVC cut out with my school's CNC machine. I used ¼ inch hardware as well as Wood Screws to hold everything together. The electronics consist of a common lamp cord, lamp socket, Toggle Switch, and a Medium-sized Edison-style Bulb. The "cables" that hold the arms in place are made by straightening a spool of 14 gauge steel wire and bending the ends to shape. The Mini Lamp Is still A work In progress but consists almost entirely of 3d printed parts and 14 gauge steel wire. By straightening the wire and then bending it once put in I could hold all the pieces together. The light I used in this design is the Halvklart LED spotlight from IKEA.All files starting with (F) are for the full-scale Lamp and all files starting with (M) are for the 60% Scale Lamp. Here's a link to a google doc with a full parts list for both lamps: Port Crane Desk Lamp Parts ListIn the pictures taken I did not include the Cab on the full scale model but The files are still included if you wish to use them. I'm still working on improving the miniature version and the one included in the pictures is my original proof of concept which is at 50% of full scale.I have plans to add the ability to raise and lower the light bulb but am still working on an effective mechanism, any advice is greatly appreciated and I hope everyone enjoys!
