Porsche Cayenne 2020 The Porsche Cayan is a high-end mid-size luxury crossover sport utility vehicle engineered by German powerhouse Porsche since 2002, with North American sales kicking off in 2003. It's the first V8-powered vehicle constructed by Porsche since 1995 when the iconic Porsche 928 was discontinued. This groundbreaking model also marks Porsche's return to off-road territory since its early Super and Junior tractors of the 1950s, and it boasts four doors - a first for the renowned brand. Since 2008, every engine within this exceptional vehicle has featured advanced direct injection technology. The second-generation Cayenne (Type 92A) was unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March following an online preview. The Cayenne shares its platform, body frame, doors and sophisticated electronics with a similar Volkswagen Touareg and Audi Q7. The second generation underwent a facelift in 2014 with minor exterior revisions, introducing a new plug-in E-Hybrid version, which made its public debut at the Paris Motor Show.
