Thanks to Ian McLeod and Scott Okeefe for making this project possible. Scott from https://www.facebook.com/realisticracing2u/, who has generously funded our time, is instrumental in bringing this project to life. Without Ian's initial sketchup drawing and 3D modeling of the basic form, this project would not have been a reality. My role was focused on mesh-mixing and fitting everything to the original Scalextric Porsche 997 chassis. Further developments are underway: we're working on adding chassis, lights, mirrors, and details to bring this project to its full potential. The shoe fits perfectly, which is what matters most for us. We encourage you to click the link and give Scott's Facebook page a thumbs up. Additionally, please share a picture of your prints and check out our page for free printing tips, meshmixer advice, and personalized assistance with Cura settings tailored to your specific printing issues. These cars are incredibly tough. A testament to their durability is evident in this video: https://www.facebook.com/realisticracing2u/videos/1117609031736911/. Note: I had initially mislabeled the file when uploading it, but it has since been corrected. If you order a slot car chassis, the Scalextric Porsche 997 will now fit perfectly.
