A spacer is required to fit under the standard grille to enable the installation of an aftermarket speaker that's slightly deeper than usual. Unfortunately, I've forgotten which particular model I used - it's likely the one that everyone tends to install! The grill clips onto this spacer, although not quite as securely as the original. Nevertheless, the grills have remained firmly in place over the years despite being fitted with these spacers. This spacer still fits snugly between the doorcard and dashboard without necessitating any additional modifications.
