I prefer using custom-made plugs and caps to seal off engine openings during repairs. Leaving the engine exposed can be frustrating, so I create 3D printed covers or blocks to fill in the holes as components are removed. As new parts become necessary, I'll continue to add to my collection of customized blanks for the 944, 924S, and 968 models.
