These printed pieces are slightly oversized, requiring trimming to fit properly. The lip is oversized, making it difficult to insert into the housing without applying heat. However, if you encounter a collapsed bushing, you'll need to apply heat again and snap it into place to ensure the plastic forms correctly in the latch. I found this approach effective. Initially, I trimmed the first printed pieces too aggressively, which resulted in melting them with a torch during installation. Subsequently, I avoided trimming altogether and used boiling water to soften the part before installing. To achieve optimal results, print these components using a durable material that is resistant to brittleness, such as Taulman 910 or a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).
