Porsche 924/924S/944 Ashtray Cupholder

I drive a 1987 Porsche 924S, but I've got two problems with the car: first, the ashtray (where I keep coins and other small items) is a pain to use and an eyesore; second, there are no cup holders. Some people might say, "It's a driver's car - it doesn't need cup holders!" But I like grabbing food at drive-throughs, so I wanted a cup holder. This project aims to solve both issues. It comes in two parts: the drop-in replacement "plug" for the OEM ashtray and the cup holder attachment. The cup holder slides into the ashtray plug when you need it, then stores in the door pocket when it's not needed. The cup holder hole is designed to fit small cups at my favorite fast food joints. This project works on my 1987 Porsche 924S, but I haven't tested it on other cars. I think it would work on all 924/944 models, but I'm not sure. If you have one of these cars, let me know how it works in the comments! Attached are the two components and FreeCAD files for both standard parts and some options. The 924ashtraypocket.fcstd file is a plug without cup holding functionality, while 924ashtrayblank.fcstd is a blank plug you can modify or use as-is. Printer Settings: * Printer Brand: LulzBot * Printer: Mini * Rafts: No * Supports: Yes * Infill: 25% * Notes: Print the plug with supports so it doesn't mess up the overhangs. The cup holder doesn't need them. I suggest an infill of 25%, but you can adjust that and resolution to your liking. Post-Printing: Finishing: I designed the cup holder so the block needs sanding for a smooth finish. If I were to do it again, I'd probably shrink the block just to remove this step. As it was, I spent about 10 minutes with my palm sander getting it to slide well. This gave me a nice finish, but it was a bit of a hassle. Installation: The OEM ashtray comes out easily (don't worry, it's designed to be removable), and the replacement plug snaps in place without much trouble. Make sure to orient it so the deeper cup holder pocket is towards the passenger side. When you want to use the cup holder, it slides in and hangs into the passenger seat, and your cup fits into the hole. If you have a passenger, they can handle the cup holding duties - I didn't worry about that too much!
