This is the car that embodies the essence of German engineering excellence, specifically designed by the renowned manufacturer Porsche. The 911 or "Neun-Elfer" exemplifies the pinnacle of German ingenuity with its iconic rear-mounted six-cylinder boxer engine and legendary reliability. It secured a prestigious fifth-place ranking in the Car of the Century. Utilizing a desktop CNC machine from Stepcraft, equipped with a spiral-toothed 1.2 mm flute (3 mm for the oak), I machined the components from Baltic birch plywood and oak. Five-millimeter beech rods served as axles, while vinyl washers enhanced tire movement. A laser cutter could potentially serve as an efficient alternative tool for crafting smaller versions of this model.
