Porky Pig Buddha (Retro Collection)
thingiverse
Another nostalgic addition to the Retro Collection of cherished memories! Porky Pig is a beloved cartoon character from the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated shorts. He was the first character created by the studio that captured audiences' attention with his star power, and the talented animators produced many critically acclaimed films featuring the charismatic character. Even after he was surpassed by newer characters, Porky remained a favorite among moviegoers and, more importantly, the Warners directors, who recast him in various roles as an everyman and trusted sidekick. He is famous for his iconic line at the end of numerous shorts: "Th-th-th-that's all folks!" This catchy slogan (without stuttering) had also been used by other Looney Tunes characters like Bosko and Buddy, as well as Beans, to bid farewell to audiences. In contrast, the Merrie Melodies series used a different slogan, "So Long, Folks!", until the mid-1930s when it was replaced with the same one used on the Looney Tunes series. When Bugs Bunny closed out his cartoons, he would break the pattern by simply saying, in his Brooklyn accent, "And Dat's De End!" He is the longest-running Looney Tunes character to this day.
