Popsocket Compatible Mount
pinshape
I created this Popsocket mount because I wanted the freedom to hang up my phone in multiple locations without having to shell out $10 for each mount! I've included the .blend file, so you can easily add holes for screws, ziptie anchors, etc., and make any necessary modifications. To see how it works, check out the video I made demonstrating its functionality. Print Settings Print it with supports to ensure that the overhanging part comes out smoothly. I printed it using a 0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle on an Original Prusa i3 MK2 in eSun Blue PETG. Important Note for Car Mounting: If you plan to use this thing in your car, make sure you print it in PETG, ABS, or another heat-resistant plastic. PLA will melt! I recommend at least 25% infill to ensure that the part stays reasonably strong. It should print fine in PLA, PETG, ABS, and other similar materials. The mount doesn't need to flex; the Popsocket does all the flexing. I made it to print flat, but you can probably get away with printing it without supports if you print it upright.
