Popsicle Stick Kids Game
thingiverse
My partner and I were getting ready for a trip to San Francisco with our 18-month-old daughter when she came up with an innovative idea for a portable game that would keep our little one engaged. After refining the concept through several iterations and tests, I'm confident it's a huge success! This game is an excellent way to help our child develop fine motor skills, and she absolutely adores it. As she grows older, she will learn how to store items inside it and practice screwing and unscrewing the lid. The objective of the game is straightforward: match the colored popsicle sticks (which can be hand-painted or purchased pre-colored) with the corresponding holes on top of the cylinder. It's a simple yet engaging activity! You can print custom color inserts to suit your preferences and secure them in place with a few drops of super glue. The small size of the holes ensures that the popsicle sticks stay put, even when our little one shakes the container. The lid also screws off easily, making it convenient to start fresh whenever needed. This game is designed to be printed without support material, assuming decent bed adhesion. I typically print 10 inserts at a time, which takes around 6 minutes, allowing me to have extras on hand in case I want to share them with friends or family members and keep the spare ones in a convenient bag.
