The Poppy project focuses on creating an affordable and hackable open-source humanoid platform featuring user-friendly hardware and software. Developed by the Flowers Lab at Inria Bordeaux and Ensta ParisTech (France), this robot serves various purposes such as science, education, art, and for tech enthusiasts. Initially designed for a research project on biped locomotion and full-body physical interaction between robots and humans, Poppy is now available under the creative commons BY-SA-NC 3.0 license.
