Poppenheimer Popcorn Bucket
thingiverse
I got duped by the photoshopped "promotional Oppenheimer popcorn tub" advertisement floating around the internet. It wasn't real, so I made my own. I found Bussy McBussface's Fatboy model https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5378257 And it was perfect. He spent a lot of time making a well-built model. I used MeshMixer and sliced off the top so there wasn't any overhang, and hollowed it out so you don't need to adjust any settings (such as using vase mode or whatever). At current settings, this STL is 100mm x 100mm, and 135mm tall. You should be able to make it larger if you want more popcorn, but these settings took around 27 hours on my Ender 3V2 Neo. No supports or adhesion needed, and just a little bit of clean up after the fact. I had some light stringing. I printed in matte ash grey, and then dry brushed some silver on it, but it looks good and ready to go without any paint. Unless you have food-grade PLA, please be cautious eating out of any 3D print. I lined the inside with wax paper, so the popcorn never touched the PLA, and it would also be easy to clean it out for display later. Have fun!
