Popeye remains a beloved cartoon character who first hit comic strips in the 1920s and went on to anchor animated shorts throughout the late 1930s and into the late 50s. To this day, Popeye still makes appearances worldwide across TV shows, films, and comic strips. I hadn't heard about Popeye for a while, so I compiled a composite of his varied designs used in animation. Converting this legendary superhero sailor to 3D proved to be both tricky and entertaining. Capturing his iconic profile, robust forearms, and quirky proportions presented an engaging challenge. The miniature figure stands at just 80mm tall but boasts full details and comes equipped with his trusty corncob pipe. Printing it at around 125% of the original size or about 100mm should ensure a satisfactory fit for both Popeye and his pipe. Printing supports can be helpful, but I'd recommend flipping the model upside down and tilting it slightly to minimize issues related to overhanging elements on his chin and fingers. This will also enable his shoes to print cleanly as he's designed to stand freely without support.
