The slot on the joint faces the extrusion, allowing it to fit snugly over slightly protruding nuts and bolts.\r\n\r\nAll credit goes to the talented creators of the individual models; I've simply combined them using OpenSCAD, whose source code is included for those who wish to customize or enhance this design.
