I have a friend that is interested in CAD models of his popcorn maker. This "duct" was challenging to create and a fun exercise minimizing modeling steps. Certainly not optimal, it was a joy as well as time to move on. I had a realization that there are many ways around Solidworks' "self confusion" if you will. At times, I could not create a geometry I wanted by a particular menu-permitted path, yet created the identical construct via a different menu-permitted sequence. I bet most of this dissonance is my misunderstanding of constructive geometric flow and degrees of freedom in three dimensions.
