<p>This pop-up box adds some extra animation to giving gift cards!</p><p>The design makes use of a scissor mechanism to rotate and raise a gift card to the middle of the opened box.</p><p>The design comes with 2 box styles and 4 band styles, but it can be easily customized with your own embossed text or patterns to give your gift a special touch!</p><figure class="media"><oembed url="https://youtu.be/42D3uyLa6v4"></oembed></figure><p><a href="https://youtu.be/42D3uyLa6v4">https://youtu.be/42D3uyLa6v4</a></p><h3>&nbsp;</h3><h3>Printing</h3><p>The box itself can be printed in two parts (<strong>Box_Plain_Top.stl</strong> &amp; <strong>Box_Plain_Bottom.stl</strong>) or as a single piece with a print-in-place hinge (<strong>Box_Plain.stl</strong>) .</p><p>The print-in-place hinge has .25mm of clearance all around the axel, which makes two 20mm long bridges. This may be a difficult print and should not be printed with a nozzle that's larger than 0.4mm.<br><br>The print-in-place hinge is printed with the hinge facing down so that the box is open at a 90 degree angle.</p><p><strong>Latch Holder.stl</strong> is the <i>only</i> file that requires supports. A newer <strong>Latch_Holder_V2_No_Supports_Needed.stl</strong> is now available.</p><h3>&nbsp;</h3><h3>Assembly</h3><p>The four latches that hold the card are assembled using 1.75mm filament. The holes for this filament are 2.2mm wide, so this can be a tight fit.</p><p>If the holes are too tight, use a 2mm drill bit to open them up slightly.<br>If the holes are too loose, either use heat to melt and seal the filament into the hole, or use glue to prevent the filament from falling out.</p><p>Pay close attention to the positioning and orientation of the parts as shown in the video.
