Pop-up mechanism for use with a book of your choice. The holes are for a trimmed paperclip to act as a hinge point. 1. Take book, hollow-out section that is big enough to hold ring mechanism when laying flat and when the base is expanded upright. 2. Use a bit of foam to create the ring-insert that fills in the ring-holding trough to hold the actual ring. 3. Use trimmed paperclip to join ring holding piece to the short side piece. 4. Use ribbon and glue to secure ring-holding piece inside the hollow of the book. Also glue a piece of ribbon to the inside of the book cover. Run the cover-secured ribbon through the edge of the hollowed pages and secure around the short side. You can use the brace piece if you need to adjust the pull angle of the ribbon. When you open the book, the ring mechanism raises to vertical and pops up the ring. If you want to make it easier you can remove all the pages and just use a hollow cover.
