Pop Socket Lanyard Tether
thingiverse
Update 4/6/21: I tweaked the design slightly to make the angles around the connection circle less...angular. This one is labeled V5 and since it’s an untested model I’ll leave V4 up just to be safe. This Thing is a lanyard tether that's designed to fit around the base of a standard size Pop Socket and provide the convenience of both a lanyard and a pop grip. The Thing is sized to accommodate Pop Sockets with a regular size top, both swappable and non-. I haven't tested it with any that are too much wider or thicker than a standard size top plate, so please take note of that before printing. The tether prints upside down as well. The uneven side is meant to sit flush along the base of the pop socket and back of the phone. As is, the Thing is scaled to fit an iPhone 6S and others of that size. If you need the top attaching ring to stick out further, I'd recommend opening the .stl file in MS 3D Builder or similar, splitting off the top ring, and adding the necessary length before merging them again. I've only printed these in PLA so I'm not sure how different materials will affect the print. Please let me know how it goes if you do try a different material, though. I used 100% infill to make sure it was as strong as possible.
