Pop Pop Steamboat
thingiverse
I was handed a Steamboat kit, but there's one major issue - the boat itself is nowhere to be found. Check out this Lee Valley link for inspiration: http://www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page.aspx?c=&p=55724&cat=1,250,43313 To solve the problem, I designed a simple boat frame and added tubing ports for the engine and magnet holders for the candle magnet. My original print, version 4, was laid flat, which required a fair amount of support underneath. But with version 5, I intended it to be printed on its back end, so no supports should be needed. I highly recommend using ABS plastic. Here are my print settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 15%
