Slight Upgrade of the V2 Engine, a 3D Printable Pop Pop Boat Powerhouse. Instructions for printing and assembling remain identical to the V2: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3096028. Included is a boat design that could use some improvement. I failed to get it watertight on my first print using PETG, but I'm planning to try again in PLA. If you can seal the deal, all you'll need are some tight bends in the tubing for the engine and a dab of glue or sealant to prevent water from entering through the port tube tunnels. This version of the engine boasts a thicker top and a larger boiler volume. After running my one-hour torture test on the V2 engine, I noticed that the top would sag, so I added 1mm to its thickness. I also increased the volume because I believe it will add more thrust – something I'm still testing. So far, the V3 engine has performed well in both PETG and HIPS filament, withstanding my grueling test without a hitch.
