People around the world adore those cute pop box love notes that have been flooding Instagram and Facebook feeds. I wanted to create 50 of these for a wedding but was reluctant to spend hours cutting out 100 halves just to assemble one single cube. So, I took matters into my own hands and designed a custom DXF file that would allow me to use my laser cutter to precision-cut the shape and score the folds, resulting in perfectly crisp creases. Using a powerful 100-watt laser, I set the cutting power to 95% and the speed to 200 millimeters per second. Meanwhile, the scoring lines were set to 20% power and 400 millimeters per second. This setup worked like a charm! I was able to cut out 50 boxes in just 10 minutes, a far cry from the 50 hours it would have taken using traditional methods.
