DIY Respirator Set Using Top of 2 Liter Pop Bottle as Body - Instructions Pending Parts Designed to be Printed Without Need for Supports Intake Filter Housing Consists of Two Parts: Body and Cover Body Threads Onto Standard 2 Liter Blow Molded Bottle, Commonly Known as Pop Bottle Cover Threads Onto Other End of Body, Holds One or Two Standard 5.5 cm Cotton Makeup Pads Used as Filter Any Material Can Be Cut to Size for Additional Filtration; Cover Unscrews Easily for Replacement Exhaust Valve Body Consists of Four Parts: Body, Interior, Grill, and Cover Interior Snaps into Body, Should be Glued for Seal Latex Disc Placed on Interior Struts, Cut from Latex Sheet or Dish Washing Glove Grill Snaps Over Latex Disc, Holds in Place with Peg; Should Be Glued to Interior and Body Assembly Attached to Mask Body (Bottle Top) by Passing Through Hole of Same Size as Exterior Silicone Sealant Added to Interior Rim for Good Seal Cover Slides on Top of Assembly, Secured by Turn Slide; Space Between Grill and Cover for Filter Material Insertion To Cut Bottle to Fit Face Frame, Measure from Top and Mark 6" and 3 1/2" From Top on Opposite Side Draw Line About 1" Below Marks, Making Circle as Cutting Guide Tilt Bottle Top, Fill with Water Until It Hits Original Marks; Mark Waterline, Cut, and Place on Inner Face Frame This is a Work in Progress; Respirator Design Should Work Well for General Shop Use and with Improvised Charcoal Filter for Tear Gas Hazards Note: This Design Has Not Been Tested for Medical Level Safety Demands; Stay Safe UPDATE 5/25/20 Two-Part Face Frame Now Uploaded, Along with Strap Slider and Back of Head Brace for Upper Straps Guide That Clips onto Bottle Top to Help Position Holes for Exhaust Valve Housing Also Uploaded Working on Assembly Instructions; Thank You for Your Patience
