Poorman Unlevel Bed Compensation unit V2 Update 5-6-2017 Some users prefer the ANTCLABS BLT, while others dislike it. The BLT is more expensive than this UBC version, which is very affordable and can be adapted for almost any machine, not just the Tevo Black Widow. This unit has some features that other UBC devices lack: 1. It can be used on all bed surfaces without exclusions. 2. It's not affected by temperature changes in the room or bed. 3. What you see is what you get during working and setup. 4. High accuracy and repeatability, better than others. 5. The lowest price possible with ready-to-buy products. There are two versions of this unit: One for the Titan extruder One for the STOCK BW extruder The sensor activator works for both versions Both have premade support added Only print the sensor activator with black filament, as light colors or translucent filaments won't work. Sensor: 5-volt optical 3D endstop sensor The pin guiding the sensor activator is 2 mm, but holes in the sensor activator and housing can be drilled to a maximum of 3 mm. An example uses a 2-mm carbon pin. Servos: This setup uses an HXT500 servo with screw holes for securing it. In Marlin, set the servo values at 90 for down and 130 for up as a guideline, or adjust them if needed. Measured deviation: 0.003 mm average. Servo cost: +/- 3 Euro Sensor cost: 1 Euro Extra hardware: One M3 x 10 mm screw is required to secure the pin to the sensor activator. Two M3 x 8 mm screws are needed to attach the sensor to the housing. A metal pin, 2 or 3 mm in size, is also necessary.
