Poorly Hacked NEMA 17 Stepper Upgrade for Mk5
thingiverse
To combine Ruttmeister's NEMA 17 gear set with ScribbleJ's Wade's-Style Tensioner, first print the 51-tooth and 14-tooth gears from thingiverse.com/thing:5795 and ScribbleJ's tensioner and block from thingiverse.com/thing:6402. However, the Nearly Universal Adaptor Plate (thing:6458) may not fit your platform or provide enough spacing for the gears. As an alternative, buy aluminium L brackets, cut off unnecessary parts of ScribbleJ's original design with a hacksaw, and create a new design in Sketchup if needed. Finally, share your process on Flickr like this user: http://bit.ly/mSIwlH for the ultimate 3D printing success!
