This toolsetter uses any cheap standard sized indicator from harbor freight, shars, or many you can find online. You have to remove the back of the indicator to install it into the toolsetter. There are small recesses on the bottom that can be used to house magnets. I print it on its back with no supports. You can use 3x 1-2-3 blocks to set the gauge height of 5 inches, then move it to your work surface as a reference. This works wonderfully I have made many parts with excellent tolerances with this height gauge.
