thingiverse
Here is an exciting project involving two brackets designed to attach a compass to a 100ft laser measuring device for the backyard surveyor. Two affordable items: [The Compass](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PHKNBLK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and [The Laser Measure](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0736R6294/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) This project combines these two components in perfect alignment, leveraging their ability to precisely measure distance and compass angles. Ideal for measuring fences, property boundaries or the measurement of angles at a great distance. The bracket is mounted forward of the tripod mount, allowing it to be attached to most tripods. However, if your tripod head is large, you may need to use a [mini ball head](https://www.amazon.com/UTEBIT-Aluminum-Diameter-1-25inch-Compatible/dp/B06XKW7V14/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=mini+tripod+head&qid=1578598144&sr=8-3) for clearance.
