Poor Man's PC Peripheral Card Interlock (PCI/AGP/ISA card holder)
prusaprinters
This is my over-engineered PCI/ISA/AGP card holder-togetherer.I needed something to hold together four peripheral (in my case, one AGP and four PCI) cards for a computer that lacked a case, but was in use. Other designs I found were more in-depth open-case designs - neat ideas, but I wanted something just for the slots. There are two components: a top-portion which is placed onto the PCI card bracket, and a bottom-portion which is slid in between the bracket and the top interconnect. These models have large margins to work with crappy PCI slots; they tend to be quite ouf-of-spec. If they're loose, try reducing the height, or just add some electrical tape. I didn't need to make any modifications though.Included files:Blender projectSTL files for 2 to 8 slotsSTL files for single slots (without faces for the sides), for making your custom version. The blender project also includes a mock of four PCI slots, which I took from jolang's PCI slot: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2860818which in turn was a remix of Sverre Svenningsen's Raspberry PCI holder:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2720009The mock was used for testing the fit of my model.Print SettingsPrinter Brand:PrusaPrinter: i3 MK3Rafts:NoSupports: NoResolution:0.3mmInfill: 100%Filament: Prusa Polymers PLA Galaxy Silver Notes: As the whole point was a quick and easy-to-print solution, both parts print without supports or skirt (at least on a heated bed). I don't think you need any particular settings to print this. I used a single shell.Mind the orientation of the parts; they've not been correctly placed in the STLs; sorry about that. See the attached pictures for my recommended orientation.(June 1, 2020): I noticed a design flaw in the design prior to the aforementioned date, where the design prohibited cards where the PCB is taller than the bracket from fitting. This has been corrected. Some of the pictures still show the old design, but the difference is slight. The blender and STL files all contain the updated design. Category: Computer
