I was frustrated by the exorbitant cost of batteries for my digital calipers, so I designed a solution. A simple conversion from button batteries to AAA batteries that are more affordable, you can also use rechargeable batteries that minimize your environmental footprint! Update 1: Slots have been added to make it easier to remove the battery. You will need: 1. A pen spring 2. A triple-A battery 3. Two four-inch lengths of wire (preferably one red and one black) 4. A hot glue gun and glue or epoxy/super glue 5. A soldering iron and solder (I've heard you can attach wire with hot glue, so this may not be necessary)
