This is my take on a pooper scooper created out of necessity. It features two parts, each with integrated hinges - the handle and the gripper - connected by a piece of 1/2 inch metal conduit or bamboo, anything that fits. Bamboo works well in this application. A section of 1/8 or smaller all thread connects the two levers. Ensure both ends on all thread are bent in the same direction for optimal performance. Nylon lock nuts secure the connection. Installing a sleeve over all thread before bending is also recommended.
