Please! Print in PLA or other compostable biodegradable materials so you can be responsible about disposing of it, as this is intended for the trash. First version of a simple solution to a straightforward problem. Problem: Collecting my dog's waste can sometimes be messy despite using bags designed for it. Excessive or runny waste may make tying the bag in a knot very undesirable for a good community-minded dog owner like myself. Need: A way to close or seal the waste bag that doesn't require handling it more than necessary. It must be eco-friendly as it will intentionally go into the garbage and also simple and small to increase its practicality. Solution: A basic clip made of PLA, which is known for being compostable, that I can slide over the neck of the bag instead of tying a knot. ------------------------- I haven't printed yet (about to), so I'll update after using a few times. First version is just to get it out there and see if I made any major mistakes or need to improve anything. Second version(s) will be attempts at refining the utility and design. I'll also design a carry utility at that time, think Flexi leash accessories. Third version will make it look nice, I'm thinking I'll design the head of the clip to match the shape of the poop emoji. No reason not to! Update V2: Printed off five of the V1, super fast printing at .32mm just 5 minutes. Good news is they fit, bad news is JUST barely, so they aren't quite practical yet. They work though. So I made them a tad bigger in each way (length, width, height, thickness) and especially opened up the mouth to make them easier to use. Forgot to add a little nib on the sides of the head to increase grip. Expected print time did double, so maybe I'll bring the height back down to original in the next version and find another way to reduce material and print time. If they work well enough, then I'm off to the dog park right now and will give it a real test.
