A new deck will be built to perfectly match the existing in-ground pool surround with its gentle 15-20 degree slope. The joists that support this deck are made of sturdy 2x10s, measuring 11 feet long and spaced 16 inches on center apart. To add extra strength, a 2-2x12 beam will be used to provide additional support where needed. Supporting posts will be attached via strong tie post caps, measuring 6x6 in size. Posts will also have a 16-inch circular footing attached via a J-bolt standoff base for added stability. The floor joists will cantilever out 2 feet or less from the main deck structure to provide a safe and secure space for relaxation and recreation.
