Pool Vacuum Handle Attachment.

This is a model made in fusion360 from rough measurements taken from the original pool vacuum hinge attachment piece. I bought two replacement vacuums and both have broken in about the same way :(. This is my second time printing a PETG replacement for this purpose. The first one I printed a couple of years ago, the hinges were slightly too wide so I bent them into position by softening them in boiling water. That unit lasted a couple of years but finally broke. I tweaked the model to get it closer to the original measurements and this version didn't require any adjustments. The photo shows a 45mm gap to allow for the insertion of the spring clip. It fit but it was snug and required a little force. I've enlarged the gap to a 55mm long opening in the model which should fit a little better. I originally printed plastic spring clips but they broke easily and since I have leftover clips laying around, I've opted to use those instead.The inside diameter where the spring clip rests is a little smaller than the original so when the spring clip is expanded, it doesn't go out as far as it did in the original design and it can occasionally slide off of the pole. Since the wall thickness seemed to contribute to the original design's failure, I left it a little thick. I may make a small recess to allow it a little further expansion if I discover that this one falls off too often.
